The Millennium Marketer is a writing journey about the issues facing marketing professionals in the post Y2K world. This means anything from blogging practices, social media, Silicon Valley Industry news to marketing for entrepreneurship and the challenges thought workers face managing productivity and efficiency.
Here are a few of the issues that this blog intends to address:
The Millennial Pivot of Marketing and Social Media
Marketing as a profession is changing dramatically. While most consumers may be struggling to keep up with new technologies, web 2.0 start-ups are clamoring for consumer attention. What will this mean for marketers and how will consumers/customers respond? How are current high-tech companies being affected by the constant pressure to present high value-add products and services? And how does this present opportunities and challenges to entrepreneurs?
Generation Y and Info-preneurship
Most important, this is a place for me to form thoughts and observations about what it means to be a young professional in the web 2.0 era, where the web is a vast wildlands of information. The internet has become a huge enabler for many people to get information fast and publish information fast. This is the evolution of info-preneurship, which comes with its own challenges.
Aimed at the discovery of new media, new ways of communicating and collaborating, this blog (like most) is always changing.
